Bärenschützklamm

Less than 1.5 hours from the Hotel Panoramahof you will find a very special natural jewel: the "Bärenschützklamm". Waterfalls meander through the up to 300 metre high limestone walls. After a 1.5-hour hike, you will reach the entrance to the gorge, where you will pass karst springs, caves and rock niches on bridges and ladders. At the end, the inn ‘Zum Guten Hirten’ awaits you, where you can enjoy a delicous meal before returning along the "Prügelweg" trail.This tour will take around 1,5 hours.

For particularly ambitious hikers, there is the option of extending the tour in the direction of Hochlantsch and Teichalm. (around 9 hours)

Opening Hours:
Following the tragedy resulting in three fatalities, intensive efforts are underway to reopen the gorge. Reconstruction has proven more challenging than anticipated.
The Bärenschützklamm is expected to reopen for visitors in July 2024. For more detailed information about the reopening, please visit the Alpine Club's website.
