“Schloss Kornberg” was first mentioned in 1284 and originally had a defensive character until it was expanded into a residential castle in the 16th and 17th centuries. “Schloss Kornberg” has been owned by the Counts Bardeau since 1871 and, with its magnificent Renaissance courtyard, is a popular venue for weddings and various celebrations.
If you are looking for a very personal gift or a typical souvenir made from local craftsmanship, you are at the right address at “Kunst & Handwerk” at “Schloss Kornberg”. In the vaulted rooms you will find a wide range of modern and traditional ceramics, glass refinement, watercolor art, scented potpourries, handcrafted jewellery and wooden toys.
The season starts at the beginning of March with a large Easter exhibition and ends with the traditional Christmas exhibition. Since its beginnings 18 years ago, it has developed into a very popular Styrian institution.
